    Thank you all. Yes I have a Wiltons mat and I put the pattern on the fondant before placing on the cake.

    Just curious, how did you make the base? Did you buy it like that, or make one and cover it?

    lis73 I used a 16" pressed polystyrene board that we can purchase here and covered it with leftover fondant icing and placed bridal white ribbon around it. Most of my cakes are done this way as I don't like gold or silver on wedding cake boards.
