Chocolate & Vanilla Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing. Checkered Heart: Flooded Red first, sprinkled with red sugar, and let dry while working on other cookies. Finished by brushing off excess sugar off and then flooding with white/pink. They didn't last but a day on the kitchen counter... and there are only two of us living here!!! Good thing I took pictures right away.
