Twilight Theme Birthday Cake

Okay, so this is my first ever layer cake and fondant cake. So I learned a lot, such as how not to make the chess board hehe. It was a good experience, and I enjoyed it greatly. Can't wait to start my classes and learn more! This was for my best friend's surprise birthday party and she loves Twilight. The cake itself was Red Velvet. I made it with a friend of mine, she baked the cake and helped colouring the fondant, and cutting and placing the chess board. She also helped place the red fondant. The chess pieces were chocolate molds I made.
