This was for a birthday, but I'm pretty sure the design was originally a wedding cake. 10 inch + 6 inch square cakes frosted in buttercream. I rolled the scrolls out from fondant, then arranged them on wax paper (with a template behind that showed the width of the tiers). That way I could paint the luster dust on and let them dry overnight. The scrolls took about 2 hours to make and paint, which was actually less time than I feared it would take! :) I love how this cake turned out!!! I also took a picture without the fondant "30"s on so that I can use it as a wedding cake design on my website.
