3 D cars cake, done in buttercream. The checkerboard pattern was a buttercream transfer to ensure that the checkerboard was perfectly even and perfectly smooth. I drew my paper checkerboard, attatched it to cardboard, covered that in seran wrap, then piped my black and white into their respective spaces. 15 minutes in the freezer, and flip onto the cake and peel away the seran wrap.
