The Groom's cake I made to go with the November Wedding cake in my pics. The couple like to ride mountain bikes together , so that became their theme. The stump is one 10" cake on the bottom with three 8" cakes stacked on top. All chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. For the woody look I just completely iced the cake in chocolate buttercream and then used my spatula to smear brown gel food coloring on. I then used a butter knife to make the grooves down the side and the rings on the top. The leaves around the cake are fondant, tinted orange then brushed with claret luster dust. I loved making this cake, it was so much fun!
