They are gorgeous. How did you get your fondant soooo smooth? Did you make it or buy it?

How did you make the holly leaves?
dky 11/3/05 at 12:04pm
Because we have so many orders for these we purchased the fondant in bulk.... not enough time to make such large quantity. Its a brand I have not used before called CAKE ART, takes lots of extra kneading and stays softer for longer but has a lovely finish. In regards to the holly leaves I also cheated and purchased them from a place that hand pipes them, for the price they were not worth making ourselves... hope I have not dissappointed you.

beautifull cake, can you tell us where did you buy the fondant, also did you like it how does it taste .... thank you

actually this particular one was made with "CAKE ART" fondant and to be honest taste awful.... but we learn with experimentation. Its also very soft to work with. Pettinance is easy to work with but a bit waxy in flaour. Flavour wise I like home made fondant... which I can send you the recipe for or ORCHARD (little dry to work with) or FONDX, great taste, easy to work with and can be refrigerated in need. Hope this helps.
