Last-Minute Christmas Cake

I decided on Christmas Eve that it would be really fun to make a cake to take with us to my parents' house as a surprise. After it came out of the oven, however, I realized that I had a completely unrealistic timeline for cooling, frosting, and decorating the cake before we had to leave. I had less than 45 minutes to decorate it after smoothing the frosting, but I think it turned out OK considering. If I had slowed down I think I could have paid a little more attention to detail and placement, and maybe added some yellow centers to my poinsettias. It was fun though and delicious. :) 8" round with buttercream.
