How did you make the metallic gold icing?

What a lucky friend. These are perfection.

For the gold, I used RI wiht Americolor egg yellow, lemon yellow and brown, then airbrushed with pearl spray. The gold hooks are fondnant using the same colors, then painted with supergold/everclear. The ornamanents are standard cupcakes with the Wilton mini ball half on tops.
