Yellow Rose Cupcake Bouqet

This was made for my daughters teacher's birthday party at school. Her favorite flower is a yellow rose. I started with a terra cotta pot that my daughter painted. we wrote "Happy Birthday Mrs Mac ~2009" across the top of the pot and the students signed the pot during the party. I placed green tissue paper in the pot and pressed a styrofoam ball into the pot until snug. then each cupcake was skewered onto the ball using wooden skewers. I then piped yellow buttercream using tip 2D to create the rose. I then filled in the white spaces in between the cupcakes with a leaf tip and moss green icing. I made extra "roses" for the rest of the class.
