I made this for someone who is moving to Hawaii. It's a 14" vanilla & chocolate cake. The sand is a very light coating of sugar, fondant & gumpaste accents. The water is colored gel & the tree trunk is a pretzel stick. I put flowers around the cake like a lei since they are given when someone is leaving or arriving, I thought it was appropriate for the occasion.
