that is just amazing. the red in gelatin is so vibrant. is the center gelatin too? are they wired.?
bobwonderbuns 12/4/09 at 1:42pm
Thank you! Aren't these cool? Yes, everything is gelatin (even the berries), the sparkly stuff is Disco Dust and they are wired with I think 28 gauge wire. These are insanely easy to do and I'm having a ball! It's the same technique I used for the teal butterflies (in my pix.)

Gorgeous! Okay I've got to get my sewing done so I can try making some of these.

How cool - I love this poinsettia and the holly is fantastic looking! Now I want to make one of these too!!!

I agree with you about working with gelatin flowers. I made some dragonflies with gelatin wings the other day, too. Great fun! This poinsettia is gorgeous!

Where can I learn how to do this?
bobwonderbuns 12/4/09 at 10:07pm
These links usually don't work but let me try: Here is a thread where you can find all the info and then some on the gelatin (...)

That's what I thought, the link isn't posting. There's a thread called "How to make gelatin bows and flowers". That has all the info you'll ever need on this technique. If you cannot find it, PM me for the link. It's a lot of fun to do! :D

just got my gelatin sheets today yay!, However I don't know how thick I'm suppose to make the gelatin, and how to you make the butterflies, do you need wire for them? I guess I should have gotten the book, since I can't find any info on this part
