This was my attempt at a Southern belle cake for my boyfriend's grandmother, she loves dolls. I had never attempted ruffles or covering a dress cake in fondant. I wanted a lot of smaller ruffles, but I just didnt have the time so I gave up and just put a bigger piece on top. I pulled an all-nighter on this cake overall I was happy with the result. We drove 3 hours to deliver it. I didnt like the shape of the Wilton pan, so I used my KA bowl and stacked it on 2 8in rounds. THe cake is chocolate with marble rounds, with lemon cupcakes and marble cupcakes.
