Wow! I tried my first poinsettia last week so I know how much time they take. This one is so much prettier than mine. How did you make the dark shadows in the petals? i

Thank you for the nice comments. I used the small cutter set from GSA. (and the veiner from there too)

The shading came from the airbrushing and dusting with raspberry petal dust. (I wish I could take credit for how it turned out, but they just came out that way!)

Loucinda, excellent job. I wouldn't worry about the "green" look at a fresh ones and you'll find they have a green cast at times. The red leaves aren't the plants petals. I think your poinsettia is very real and fresh looking. It's going to be an awesome cake!
