Shipped Flower Pot Cake

I tried my hand at shipping a small mini-cake I made for a friend who lives 200 or so miles away!! Sorry no pics of the cake not in the container, but here are the before and after shots!! It totally made it with only a few cracked off flower petals!! The blue flowers were fine, it was the more delicate white flowers that suffered. But hey, it still looked great!! YEAH! Vanilla cake with ganache filling and modeling chocolate covering and flowers. I "glued" the cake to the board (which was glued to the container) with melted chocolate so it never fell off or shifted! I think the key was shipping it in the clear container...the postman could see it and was probably much more careful!! I'm just glad she had a semi-intact birthday cake to eat on her birthday!!
