Pirates/treasure Chest/skull

Pirates/treasure Chest/skull on Cake Central

This is the cake that my husband and I made for a "Pirates" themed birthday party. The skull is sculpted from the wilton sports ball pan. The chest is from two sheet cake cut in half. Both covered in fondant and airbrushed color. The lid of the chest is made with rice krispie treats covered in fondant and airbrushed. The sand is vanilla wafers. The coins are plastic

Wow! That is fantastic. Look at the teeth on that skull. :-O Y'all are quite a creative and talented team!

We used wooden dowels from the lid into the cake. Placed at least 2 inches in from the edge. I highly suggest not putting the lid on until it's in it's final resting place. We transported it this way and had a mishap on the way to the party.
