My son wanted a cell phone cake for his 14th birthday. He wanted a strawberry cake and he doesn't like the texture of fondant. So I made a traditional strawberry cake then added a layer of white buttercream flavored with cheesecake oil. The cake also had sliced fresh strawberries inside. The phone cake was just a plain cake covered with fondant. We ended up just throwing away that part, but the best part of it all was that my 14 year old son was thought I could make this and he was pleased!
