Arizona Cake Show Cake

Covered in fondant, with royal vines, gumpast roses and leaves. Royal nest and hand molded fondant birds.

oh, this was one of my favorites! i really liked it...wish i would've known more people from the board were going to be there so we could've done placards with our usernames or something ;-)

Looks Fab!! How do you get the shimmer on the fondant. It has been bothering me as I see this soo much and love it!

Yes, the nest is edible. I just took a small plastic bowl, turned it upside down, placed plastic wrap over it and then used a #2 tip with brown royal icing and just piped "twigs" all over the bowl. After it had dried, I turned it over, removed it from the outside of the bowl, and then piped more "twigs" on the inside so it wouldn't be so smooth.
