I was asked to make a cake for a children's book club. They had just finished the first book in the Boxcar Children series. The premise of the first book is that they are orphans who leave the orphanage and find an old boxcar in the middle of the forest and live in it. So I decided my cake theme would be a rickety old boxcar in a forest. I made the boxcar look delapitated and rickey on purpose.
