this is my first time making this baby shoes. Since the first time I saw this shoes here at CC's, I felt in love with this cake and finally someone accepted to have a cake like this one. I also used the Planet Cake ganache technique instead of buttercream and honestly, I don't want to go back to buttercream. TFL

planet cake is a bakery in Australia, they have a book called Planet Cake. They don't use buttercream , instead they use chocolate ganache wich gives a better finish and looking

hi sweetindulgence, thank you for your comments!!! I used chocolate ganache which is a mixture you get by mixing heavy cream plus dark chocolate to obtain something that is really rich in flavor and great in texture. You can use it intead of buttercream to cover a cake . It gives you sharper edges, no bulges and freshness because nothing can escape from a cake cover in ganache!! LOL there are lot of threats in CC about ganache

how did you obtain the color, it looks like a really good fondant job, I found recipes for ganache, can u use white choc.?
lanana 4/21/10 at 7:34am
I use MMF, I make it at least 2 days in advance so it won't be so soft. White chocolate is also great but you need less cream and is soo yummy. Il PM you with the exact recipes for both ganache
