Heart With Red Scrolls And Black Dots on Cake Central

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream. Used some Wilton pattern presses to design the red scrolls and then accented with black dots. Still trying to perfect my scrolls...wish I could do it without the guidance of the press! Oh, silk roses sit atop the cake.

Thats just gorgeous! Your scrolls look great even though pressed! You added to it which makes it unique. How did you get your BC to look soo smooth?

Thanks! Lots of practice!! I allow my icing to crust over and then use my warm hand and parchment paper to smooth. I use an up and down and over the edge teter totter motion on the top and down over the edge to get the edge smooth.
