Oh, I wish I could do this for my baby's 1st birthday...I have never used fondant as I do not like the way it taste. Your characters are beautiful!!

Thanks! I realized I missed making one for Baby MacDonald but that won't take me too terribly long. I don't like to eat fondant either. It's not the taste, for me it's the texture. Not very frosting-like. These figures will be stuck in the buttercream on the sides.

Two 8x2 inch pans for the bottom, two 6x2 inch pans for the middle and the top one is two 4x1 3/4 inch pans. The bottom is one cake mix and the top two are one cake mix. I used bake even strips and a flower nail in the bottom two layers. I was nervous about the shape at first but I love it!
