Disco Inferno
The birthday girl wanted a rock star party so this is what I came up with. The disco ball is Styrofoam covered with hot-glued cut up CDs. Sugar cookies on wooden skewers wrapped with hot pink, lime green and purple pipe cleaners. Her name is in lights -- cookies iced black and then decorated with silver dragees.
That is really cute! The disco ball looks like soo much work, it hurts me to even think about it :). Wonderful job.
I was following the thread on these - they turned out so great! Love the disco ball idea. FAVORITE!!
You did a great job! Love this idea.
this is so great!!!
Very cute! How did you get the cd's cut up so evenly?
yes how did you cut them it looks wonderful i'll bet the little girl was very excited i love it
Those are awesome! The disco ball looks perfect too!
It was a time-killer. I dipped them in boiling water for a sec to soften them and then cut strips with kitchen shears and then chopped into squares. They're definitely not uniform, I promise you! I covered the ball in foil first to hide any gaps. I needed some gaps to stick the skewers in. The little girl gasped when she saw it. I love that reaction!
That is so cool, I know she loved it!
This turned out great...it is so cute. Did she love it?
great job! how didiyou glued them the cdpieces to the foil? and what is it under the foil?
With a hot glue gun. A styrofoam ball from the floral section at walmart.
Fantastic!!! I love everything about this! Very clever!
That is absolutely prefect too! You are so talented!
