Sorry, and thanks. I used the dowel method, but I think next time I'll use styrofoam wedges. It took me awhile to get the angel of all those dowels just right. After placing cakes on, I tucked white fabric around the dowels to hide them, and then stuffed in the tulle.
I love this, tried to make one over the weekend with BAD results, may try this method of construction next time..I actually like the look of this better than others I have seen. You would get a more uniform serving size as it was cut. ...thanks for the inspiration! I have considered a seperation very similar to this...I would like to have angled seperators cut from PVC pipe that would support the plates...but as you said, determining the angles...
Absolutely wonderful! I really don't see how the cake isn't just toppling over right now! Could you please tell me how you did the construction. [email protected]. thanks
WOW!! This is awesome! You do great work!! I've always wanted my mom to make my wedding cake (getting married this September) and really think the tilted cake would be perfect. She and I have both been trying to figure out how to do one. I honestly think yours is one of the best ones I've seen! Can you offer any information on how you did this amazing cake? Please email at: [email protected]. Thank you so much!!!
OH this takes the cake !!! i had to look at it 2-3 times, anyway on earth you would give the directions, oh please !!!! this is unbelievable, can you explain a little more about the dowel's, are the cakes on cake plates and stacked like you would a regular cake, except that they are are extreme levels? i am confused and i want so bad to make one, please help , you can email me at [email protected],,, or post it here, thanks so much for your time,,,,,,,
This is postively stunning. I too would love instructions for doing this kind of cake. I have one for May 20th and really like this method best. I have heard it is best not to tilt more than 20 degrees. My question is how do you keep the cake from sliding off of the board it is on. Do you not cover the board with anything? please if you can offer any more details email me at [email protected] thanks so much.
I didn't design this cake but I'd like to offer some directions on hoe youcould do it: 1. Triple up the bottom cake board, I hot glue three together than wrap in fancy foil. 2. "Glue" the first tier to the board using royal icing (dries harder, not greasy) 3. Place a round piece of waxed paper on the top center after doweling as you would for a normal stacked cake, followed by a cake board that is at least an inch smaller in diameter than your next tier. Continued . . . .
Okay, I know it has been a while but I would absolutely love some instruction on how you did this cake if you have time. It is incredible! You definitely have some amazing talent! [email protected]
Could you please tell me how you constructed this cake? I'm new to topsy turvey cakes and this is just incredible! I've gone through the tutorial on CC, but I can't get over this one! Please e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks!
Congratulations for the amazing cake! I've never seen such a piece of art in my life!!! Can I also ask for the directions. If it is not too much, please send them at: [email protected]
