Rainbow Trout - The One That Got Away
My son loves fishing so I thought a fish cake would be appropriate for his birthday. He thought it was awesome. Wish I would of done a better job - I still have lots to learn. Like they say practice makes perfect - well almost perfect. This is a lemon cake with BC frosting and gum paste for fins.

It looks GREAT! Everything on the cake is perfect, but if I may I'll make one suggestion. If you cover your cake board, you'll get a nice presentation and it will keep the board from getting 'greasy' from the icing.
You did a great job and I agree with edencakes, cover your board with some clear contact paper and you can reuse it for cakes at your home :) ... you did an awesome job on it!
