Halloween Birthday Cake
Yellow cake with chocolate buttercream filling and icing for a 6 year old girl's birthday. Ghosts are made of marshmallow fondant. Pumpkin is made of two mini bundt cakes with chocolate buttercream filling, a thin layer of icing and covered with marshmallow fondant. Ghost confetti lines the border. I had so much fun making this cake!
oh, now that has to be about the cutest thing I have ever seen! Wow! Is that buttercream piped on in lines on the side or hardened chocolate in thin bars?
I love those ghosts, they look like they are floating!
cute!! love it
You did this beautifully!
This is an incredible cake! You might have to do a tutorial on this one! Love the sides of the cake, the borders, and the confetti ghosts. Really outstanding. Wow!
That is so cute!!!! I love it!
This is such a unique cake!! The piping on the sides is something I've never seen before & it looks great! I can see it on all different types of cake...nice change from the norm! And the confetti around the borders is a nice touch too....definitely going into my favorites...AWESOME!!!!
wow, such a bootiful cake....how did you do the sides?
wow! really nice!
Into my favorites it goes....awesome cake!
It must have taken you forever to put that confetti on. Great cake!
I love this cake! Very unique. You did a wonderful job!
I can't believe you stood all that confetti up talk about patience! Looks great!
Thank you all for the wonderful comments. For once, the cake turned out exactly like the picture in my head! The sides are piped with the straight side of tip 47-I love this effect because it's different and quicker than basketweave.
Wonderful job...It is too cute..I like the Happy Boorthday!!
This is my favorite... you must post in contest!
Really, really cute
I have to say. This has been in my fav's for a long time. And everytime I see it I always want to try and make it. You did such a fabulous job! This is my FAVORITE HALLOWEEN CAKE
This is one of the coolest cakes I have seen! You did a great job!
Thanks!
Awesome cake, delightful design and perfect execution. Great job!!
Sooooooo Cute! I love your design :D
What an adorable cake! I love Halloween and this has to be one of my favorite cakes! Great Job! :D :D
Most adorable Halloween cake I've ever seen!! How did you get the little fondant ghosts to look like they are floating??
The ghosts were dried on top of a prescription bottle. Under the ghost head is a ball of fondant. When dried I just stuck a long, thin straw into the head and down into the cake. They jiggle a little bit when you move the cake.
Everything about this cake is awesome. I love the tiny ghost sprinkles on the border!
Just adorable....great work on piping the sides....steady hand.
love it, one I will have to recreate but I don't think I have the patience for all the tiny ghosts LOL
