I got this idea from the book, "Hello, Cupcake!" Instead of making a cupcake "cake," I used a 1-layer chocolate cake, tinted cream cheese icing to a pasta-looking color, and then topped it with chocolate truffle candies for meatballs and cherry pie filling that had been beaten to look like spaghetti sauce. To top it off, you can grate white chocolate on top to look like cheese, but I skipped this last step due to time constraints. This cake was a hit. It was funny, and it tasted very good.
