This was a cake I made for my neighbors for the Indian holiday Diwali. These types of patterns are put in their courtyards in India out of rice flour, etc. for good luck basically. I used ivory fondant, started to dust with bronze which was giving me trouble so then I mixed it with vodka & brushed it on the cake. It was not co-operating! Neighbors & relatives were very surprised.
