Field sketched out on the board. The grass part was put down in white, with the dirt part filled in later, and allowed to dry overnight. Taped off w/ blue painters tape lines in one direction, leaving a tape's width of white between each one, and then in the opposite direction with a tape's width between each, creating a plaid pattern. Spray green airbrush of over the field. Remove top tape lines. Airbrush again. Remove bottom tapes and brush again. The original white areas should be your darkest green now and the last tape you removed should have the lightest green. Let dry and then filled in with brown.
