Cross Cake

Cross Cake on Cake Central

used 2 loaf pans to make the cross, gave me more servings than the wilton cross pan. Made bow, baby, and baby blanket out of fondant, cake covered in BC.

This is great, are you talking about regular loaf pans? Also how did you write on that fondant, I have a customer who wants something similar. I was going to get an image printed and then put it on fondant because I didn't think I could write that small.

Hey mom3, I used the long wilton loaf pans (2 of them) the big ones, I kept one whole down the middle and cut the other loaf in half for the sides of the cross, you have to cut a bit offf of the side ones to make it fit and look good. Use a tip 1 or 2 and I used royal icing to write and just go for it. Don't forget to use a gentle pressure when squeezing the bag or the letters will be too thick.

What does the verse read exactly? I'm doing my nephews christening cake and I"m thinking of doing something similar. Very nice job! You should be proud!
