In community album: Round Wedding Cakes
I have received a lot of e-mails asking how I did made the swags and brush embroidered roses, so I thought I should post it for everyone to see :)

SWAGS:
The swags from fondant mixed with CMC powder. I attached them to the cake using edible sugar glue made from CMC (tylose powder) and water.
BRUSH EMBROIDERY ROSES:
I used royal icing for the brush embroidery roses. It was Wilton recipe. Wilton also have a recipe with meringue powder however I have never tried this. I copied the design onto the sides of the cake and then piped over the traced lines. Using a damp paintbrush I brushed the icing into the centre of the flower. I love the look of brush embroidery.

ROSES:
I made the roses from flower molding paste I purchased from my local cake decorating store. To tell you the truth I didn't like it very much. I have never used gumpaste but it would probably be better.

COLOUR:
White and Wilton ivory
