In community album: 2009 Locations Cake Contest
This is a wishing well made of chocolate cake. Fondant was used to cover the 8" x 6" round cake and cake board. Gumpaste was used for all the decorations -- flowers, bird and roof. Everything is edible except for the roof pillars and base of the pillars. I had to be innovative to make the roof stand so I thought of using the usual pillars and plate that we use to stack up a cake but instead of using two plates I just made use of one. One end of the pillar was attached to the plate, the other end was attached to the base roof using a fondant.
