This is marshmallow fondant including what is on the cake board. The black is regular buttercream. The marshmallow fondant was easy to make, tastes good and was easy to work with.
My friend and I did this cake together and we did the scrollwork freehand. We had a photo to go by and determined where the sections of scroll should be placed. We applied the long parts first and then added to them. It really was fun.
