This cake was completely inspired by Lorraine McKay's great work... I made it for a naming ceremony in the family. Its a rich chocolate cake filled with rich chocolate buttercream and covered with vanilla fondant. The board is covered with a mixture of fondant and gumpaste and I used the Patchwork Cutters Nursery set to make the imprints on the border of the board. The figures are hand moulded from a mixture of fondant and gumpaste. :)
