I absolutely love this! I can't figure out how you got the cake not to crush the ball under it ? What did you use for supportt?

carros - The ball is almost solid chocolate (slightly hollow) so it is HARD. The cake is real cake in a chocolate shell so it is LIGHT. The ball is 'threaded' over a dowel and the cake is impaled over the same dowel.. Thanks for the nice compliments!

This is a beautiful cake. You did a great job. Where did you find the mold for the ball and bowling pins?

I made the bowling pin mold out of silicone from a toy bowling pin. The ball mold is just a clear plastic chocolate mold. I can't remember where I got it, tho. Sorry!
