I made this for my dad's 70th birthday. They had a 50 year old sweet gum tree he had just cut down. My family had picked up those sticker balls for years! The tree had one of those tree faces. The hachet had his initials, I added a little romantic touch to the back for my folks' long marriage. The bluebird and little mole were also personal touches. Royal icing sticker balls. This was 3 split 6 inch layers covered in chocolate fondant. I loved making this cake!
