My friends family invites this girl from Germany to stay with them for 6 weeks practically every summer and will be heading off to college in the fall, so they wanted to do a special farewell cake for her. So I thought that a globe, made completely of cake, with her "On Top of The World" would be great. You can't actually tell, but the airplane is floating above the globe on a thin wire and really looked like it was flying. The banner across the equator says "Never too far away from our hearts" and has 5 keys with the initials of each member of the family to represent the "Key to their heart". The cake was a hit and it was great to see Kathi so happy on her last day in town! Have a great first year at University Kathi! Hopefully we'll see you soon! Thanks for looking.
