i cut each piece the thickness of a ruler I have using a pizza cutter...then wrap them around a broom handle to dry

And a hint. Let them dry overnight on the broom. Slide them off the next day and let the inside's dry completely too. I prepare them at least 3 days in advance for complete drying before I assemble.
