Kennedy's Monkey Cake

My 8 year old friend Kennedy decorated this cake. I baked and iced the cake in BC, but she picked out the types of monkeys she wanted to make, rolled the fondant, and "glued" the pieces together. She made the leaves and rolled most of the coconuts and bananas...I helped a little because there was so many of them. She designed the coconut/banana border. I made the water out of piping gel, but she thought the waterfall was a cute idea. When she decided the monkey needed a hat, she chose blue because it tied in with the color of the water. The other monkey hanging off the side of the cake also has earrings and a pink bow on its tail. Kennedy is a very promising young decorator!
