I used a new filling with a gelatin and preserve mixture and overload bottom layer, ended in a red grainy bc frosting. It was extremelly hot that night, bc didn´t cooperate, so I couldn´t have a smooth finish. The color didn´t helped... I hated it!! :-( . I´m practiing for my two friends´ wedding cake, now I´m really nervous.

Ok... you sound stressed. You may not be satisfied with it, we all pick our work apart. But, look how smooth your buttercream is.... your top tier is nicely centered, so looks like you've got tiering down, and you've done an awesome job on your piping!!! Quit beating yourself up...that's an order!

I tried to make buttercream cakes for awhile, but ended up wanting to throw them against the wall! (i;m left handed, and all the instruction is for right-handed people) I switched to fondant, and have not looked back, it's SO much easier. If that helps;) For what it's worth, though, I like it~

The design is nice. Be sure not to put too much filling in there. Good job

I can´t understand how in some pics you can see those thick filling layers? How much filling do they put? or was it just for the pic?
