*note...some characteristics of this cake were based on different pictures found online and all put together* This was a grooms cake for a friends "soon to be father in law" It was a homemade fruit cake, covered with a light cover of buttercream frosting, and then covered in rolled fondant. All piping was done in colored buttercream. The soccer balls on the sides were premade sugar soccer balls bought at a local cake shop, and the soccer player was a toy found at a local dollar store. The GIANT soccer ball was a Snowball (made by Hostess) covered in rolled fondant and then buttercream was piped onto it!
