I actually made this cake for my daughter's christening but it could be used for a communion. Most of it is fondant but I had a very hard time with it and it wouldn't cooperate so the top of the dress is icing. I made small flowers out of fondant with a pink dot in the middle and placed them around the dress. The fondant cracked in the corners so I made a flower border to cover. First and last time I will use fondant.
