Pansies on Cake Central

Just a practice cake to use up some of the many royal icing flowers we make in course II. I didn't let my crumb coat sit long enough, so there are flecks of chocolate cake (never again to be iced with pale frosting) in the frosting. And, I think I like a smooth icing better than the non-smooth. Oddly it seems easier.
