I made this cake for a friend who requested a beach cake for her MIL. One side celebrates her MIL's birthday and the other side celebrates her anniversary. The cake is covered in fondant, the "sand" is light brown sugar, the shells are made of chocolate, the margarita glass and flip flops are gumpaste, and everything else is buttercream.
