I entered this at a church BBQ competition. Although I did not place in the competition, those church ladies make awesome cakes, I received top marks for creativity and execution. I covered the cake with fondant, made latice strips with fondant, and airbrushed it to look baked. The cherries were additional cherries from the cherry pie entry, which by the way, one first place in taste. I was thrilled!
