I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday, to go with her Little Mermaid party. I used my Pampered Chef batter bowl and an 8 inch round to make it tall enough for the Ariel doll to fit inside. I used crushed graham crackers for the sand. The only trouble I had was getting the frosting I used for Ariel's tail to stick to the graham crackers. I should have used fondant, but since I've never worked with fondant before, I didn't want to try it for the first time with my daughter's cake! Overall, I was pretty pleased with the result. My daughter LOVED it, so that's all that really mattered!!
