This cake was made for a Cinderella fan's 4th birthday. The pillow was carved from sponge (using an excellent pillow-carving description found in one of Lindy Smith's books), covered with sugarpaste and then painted with a mixture of food colouring gel, edible lustre dust and alcohol. The shoe itself was made from half flowerpaste (aka gum paste) and half pastillage and then painted and decorated.
