My son saw the episode of Ace Of Cakes that included making a gumball machine cake and immedietly wanted that for his birthday. He had a long time to wait. He saw the episode in January and his birthday is in December! 4 layers chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing filling and buttercream icing. Gumpaste accents and LOTS of real gumballs in the large glass fishbowl on top! My son liked it so much he had my mom frame a picture of himself at his party blowing out his candles and put it in his room! There are many flaws in this cake and I am nowhere near the talent level of the other members of this site, but it made my son happy!
