this was an experiment cake. Ive always wondered if it could be done. Well i guess i know now LOL!!

Very, very clever! Bonus points for the lighting elements and the dangling (are those bead strings?) elements. Very nice! Where did you get the idea? Did you possibly see one from Mike McCarry of Mikes' Amazing Cakes on the west coast?? Nice job!

Amazing!! I wish you had a better pic though. This one is blurry. I just can't imagine doing a cake like this.. way over my head!!

Oh my what a trip. love it love it love it... let use know how the supports work... i want one... i think this will be the new craze in wedding cake... simply goergous

thank you all very much the supports of this cake is just a center rod cake stake stand. ( i used the tall tier stand) the lights and bead were mounted to the plates before putting the cake together. other than that, its just a matter of making sure the cakes are centered on the plates to preent tipping. this cake was all about balance LOL. I thought a saw this type of cake in one of the wilton yearbooks a few years back but i cant find it now
