All buttercream with a few fondant accents. This was the travelling disaster cake - upon dyeing the bottom layer icing grey, it faded to a blue after 2 hours in the car. Not to mention that my icing recipe did not take the red color well so I had to start over. Then, had to travel 2 hours and finish all the details in a house with no kitchen supplies. So, alot that I had wanted to be fondant was just piped on. Oh well, my nephew loved it so I guess that is all that matters! : )
